Hello, I’m Kim

Consummate Change Agent

I am a Federal Reserve Commissioned Examiner who develops and leads supervisory reviews of FinTech developments, advises on risk and policy issues related to emerging innovations, and translates supervisory guidance. I’m also a trusted architect and implementer of enterprise-wide change management programs, particularly those related to agile workplaces. A full-time working mom to a rambunctious son, my second job is actualizing educational practices and parenting paradigms that reflect the realities of our rapidly changing world.

FinTech Champion

Subject matter expert in the technological foundations, risk implications, policy considerations, and benefits of Artificial Intelligence, APIs, Blockchain, and Cloud.

Innovation Architect

Led enterprise-wide change management initiatives to foster resiliency, agility, and innovation, and managed the $38MM workplace transformation of a 750+ member group.

Holistic Growth Mentor

Trained practitioner in design thinking and the tools presented in Designing Your Life, Designing Your Work Life, The Artist’s Way, Simple Abundance, and The Bogleheads’ Guide to Investing.

International Educator

Class coach for The Fletcher School’s Certificate in Digital Money, a course for professionals in digital financial services with students from six continents. I also designed an accelerated Designing Your Life workshop – recognized as one of the most popular events in my firm’s Resource Network’s history.

Early Education and Enrichment Specialist

Curious about how to integrate Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and/or Montessori principles into your family’s life? Wondering what the full array of schooling options are and if there’s a way to better customize your child’s education? I’m in the middle of this journey now – reach out for a conversation!

Working Parent Advocate

Counseling working parents who are passionate about nurturing their growing families and themselves without losing their minds. Blending approaches to work-life balance, financial independence, positive parenting, bespoke educational experiences, and more.

FinTech

Examples of my cross-System research and international commitee work are highlighted here. I represent the Federal Reserve on select Basel Committe on Banking Supervision workstreams: CPMI-IOSCO JWGDI and the Task Force on Financial Technology. In addition, I was a lead contributor on the team that drafted the FRS’ application for the BIS Innovation Hub.

Workplace Transformation

Successful workplace transformation goes beyond just a renovation. From desgining floors with differentiated zones to support a variety of work styles/activities to codifying rules of the road and resources for maximizing productivity in a redesigned space, a winning office redesign takes into account both the physical features and the mindsets necessary for adoption. Five years after a pilot program which I co-managed, all nine floors for my group’s 750+ employees have undergone the same thoughtful modernization process and staff report an increased sense of productivity, ability to collaborate, and connection to their workspace.

Bespoke Learning

My role as a FinTech subject matter expert has given me a front-row view to the capabilities that technological innovations will unleash in the decades to come. As a parent, I also see how educational practices and especially the emphasis on testing is not well suited to preparing kids for a rapidly changing workplace.

COVID-19 has shown us that remote learning is best used as a supplement to and not a replacement for school, particularly in early education. But what’s a working, constraint-conscious family to do without going crazy? I’m documenting our family’s journey as we make the various educational philosophies work for us. Reach out if you’re curious about the supplies and curricula that resonate with our dual-earner reality.
